Styrene-acrylic solvent copolymer resin-based, zinc-aluminum pigment-enriched and chloroparaffin-modified one-component cold galvanized paint providing effective rust protection.
Features:
According to hot-dip galvanizing with zinc, it creates both active and passive protection on the surface of ferrous metals. Galvanized Paint SAF is heat resistant up to 250ºC. Galvanized Paint SAF can be used both as an anticorrosive primer and as a top coat.
Application:
Galvanized Paint SAF can be used for painting sheet metal, profiles, containers and wagons and containers, black and stainless steel constructions, and for repair and restoration works. Galvanized paint is harmless, resistant to atmospheric influences and has anticorrosive properties. Before use, the paint is well mixed, if necessary diluted with 5% Saf Rapid thinner and applied to the surface in 2-3 cross layers. Galvanized Paint SAF is offered as an anti-corrosive paint. Applied on metal surfaces, it creates a coating that prevents rust and is resistant to atmospheric effects. The application of the next layer is performed after the suggested time, taking into account the atmospheric conditions. If the thickness of one layer of the paint applied as a primer is 25 microns when dry, the useful life of the color layer is long. The thickness limit of the wet layer required during painting should not be exceeded. Otherwise, the adhesion for the next layers weakens and the painting technology is completely broken. If the thickness in the dry case is required higher than 25 microns, the painting can be carried out several times by reducing the thickness of the wet layer according to the calculations, on condition of waiting for the interval between layers. If the last layer of paint will not be applied to the surface, in this case, the thickness of the dry film is recommended to be 45-50 microns. In painting with a roller and an ordinary brush, it is necessary to paint a thin layer several times to get the required thickness. During painting, the temperature of the surface to be painted should be at least 30C above the dew point. For example, if the ambient temperature is 10ºC, the temperature of the surface to be painted should be higher than 13ºC so that the color layer can fully dry and get its strength. Galvanized Paint SAF is designed for outdoor use and does not affect its corrosion protection properties. When Galvanized Paint SAF is applied to metal surfaces both as a primer and as a final layer, the color layer does not lose its quality for a long time and has a long life.
Drying time:
25ºC drying 8 hours, full drying 24 hours.
Consumption:
15 m2/liter when the thickness is 25 microns.
Storage conditions:
Store in ventilated warehouses, in original sealed packaging, in a dry and cool place, away from heat and flame.
Storage period:
A minimum of 24 months at 20-25ºC, upon expiry should be checked by a specialist and given an opinion.
